Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are a dental treatment intended to prevent tooth decay by acting as a barrier against cavities. The actual sealant is a plastic coating that is applied to the chewing surfaces of teeth (usually the back teeth). The sealant adheres to the depressions and grooves of the teeth, forming a protective shield over the enamel of the tooth. Et Voila–The sealed teeth will remain cavity free!
