Oral Cancer Screenings

Early detection of oral cancer is essential to avoiding painful and costly complications down the road. Every regular check up at Yorkville Family Dental includes an oral cancer screening. When screening, Dr. Laguatan will inspect the tongue, insides of the cheeks, gums and lips for unusual discoloration, lesions, bumps or any abnormalities in the tissue. If anything is detected you will be referred to a specialist for a biopsy and treatment.
